Dr. Hellen

I am interested in Nonlinear Dynamics, most recently using numerical and electrical models to study potential dynamics of synthetic genetic networks. For numerical simulations I used to use Fortran, then MathCad, then Matlab, but now mostly use Python and XPPAUT on both Windows and Linux, and AUTO on linux.

I also like teaching physics to physics majors and non-majors who want to learn physics. Learning physics is not complicated. Practice, practice, practice the problems and examples in text, and material from lecture until you understand it and can do it quickly. Then practice more. Learning physics is not easy, but it is not complicated.
